A new race of beings...

When Pauwels & Bergier wrote about "a new race of men" and the idea that the human race is "mutating", they were referring to the book The Nature of Living Things by Worth & Enders (Signet 1955). That was in the 1950's/60's. Today we would say that the human race is "evolving". So you might well ask: are humans still evolving? Pauwels & Bergier pose the question: "...a mutation of the human species? Shall we see a new race of beings who resemble us outwardly, but yet are different?".
