The Pre-Programmed Brain

There is no scientific evidence whatsoever to suggest that Jung's collective unconscious is a supernatural "universal consciousness" that transcends time and space. According to Carl Jung, the collective unconscious is inherited and consists of archetypes, images and symbols - the distillation of mankind's life experience. The brain of a newborn child comes pre-programmed with patterns of neurons that define the child's basic instincts and personality traits. So why not a pre-programmed collective unconscious as well?
