Why We Can't Measure Time
We can't measure time because time simply doesn't exist. Instead, we measure duration by counting the frequency of a reference mechanism such as a clock ticking or the Earth rotating. That's why a "second" is defined as 9192631770 cycles of a caesium oscillator. When we measure speed, 100km per hour actually means 100km per 1/24th of the Earth's rotation.
